Water/Drips/Puddles

So once i had decided on my storyboard i started looking at water and its forms.

This was looking at different things that i could have popping up out of the puddle. My favourite was the flowers which grow, i thought it fitted in well as it would be based in a garden. However the idea of a robot coming out of the puddle would fit with the music.

Final Final Storyboard

Okay so i had a change of mind and decided to use an outside tap rather than an inside tap and sink, i think it will work better with the camera angles etc.

Experiment

One experiment i carried out was using OHP sheets. I drew each section of  an animation on several sheets and then layered them up to see what look it would achieve.

This achieve a very messy finish and wouldn't be suitable for what i need to do in this project.

Tin Man...

The idea behind this was to have a tin man who needed oil and as he walks he creaks and clangs then reaches for the oil on a shelf and the shelf falls down. By using the idea in the first image i could easily move his arms and legs which creates the illusion of him walking.

Audio Timeline

I created an audio time line by closing my eyes and letting my pen move to the sound of the music. Its done in two sections, the first 30 seconds and the and the last 30 seconds. It gives you a good idea of how powerful or subtle the music really is.

Spider Diagram

This is a spider diagram for words which i could relate to my audio clip.

Flip Book Illustration

Above is one of the images created within my group during the session where we had to create a short sequence comprising of 36 pieces of paper which once put together would create an animation. However unfortunately we could get our final animation to work correctly so i have uploaded one of the pieces of paper instead. The idea is that you have 3 alien like creatures dancing, and like on the show Britain's got talent they get voted off with X's above their heads. As the animation starts one cross is lit up, half way through the 2nd lights up and on the last page the third cross lights up.
