Paper Workshop 1

So my current project is all about paper manipulation. In the first workshop at uni we were asked to create 3D forms from a single sheet of A5 paper. Artist/designer Richard Sweeney came into work with us, showing us a few basic techniques for paper manipulation.

I'm actually amazed by some of his work, it looks impossible to make!

Criteria:
-one A5 sheet of paper
-no glue
-it must be able to return to a flat A5 sheet
-paper can be removed but not added

I got off to a good start trying out some of Richard Sweeney's techniques, however after a while i started to lose patience when the paper wouldn't do what i was hoping. I think i simply need to persist with the paper and try to develop some new shapes and forms.

Hopefully i will get some great results in the end!
